Within education, a course of study (plural curricula) is the placed naturally & their contents offered by an institution like the school or university. Around a few legal actions, a programme can be partly or even totally determined by an external system (like the National Curriculum for England in English schools). In the US, the basic course of study is established by every state with the single school districts adjusting it to their desires.
